CorallyUSA headed to California for the 2007 Reedy Race of Champions held at the Tamiya Test Track. It was the last time the Reedy Race will be held there since Tamiya is relocating to another location and the track will be closing. The RDX Phi would be making its debut asphalt race at this event and the results looked promising before we even hit the track for practice. BLACKSTOCK IN THE PITS The hotly contested Invite class had four Team Corally drivers looking to do battle with the best in the World. Team Drivers Chris Tosolini, Mike Blackstock, Simo Ahoniemi and Marc Fischer all showed they had what it takes to get to the front in heads up racing. Mike Blackstock was on rails the entire time as he was able to lay down the fastest single lap time of the event at 12.4! SIMO AND MARC IN THE PITS The RDX Phi was tearing up the track in the 19T Spec class as well. The Reedy Race uses qual points to determine the Final Top 10 for the Triple A mains so consistency is the name of the game. There were plenty of consistent Corally drivers as we took down top spots round after round. TJ Bradley showed everyone that he was looking to be in contention for the overall win by putting down blistering runs again and again. TJ ended up 3rd on the grid for the Triple A mains which gave him an ideal spot for the start. Once qualifying was done and the mains were posted, CorallyUSA had 5 cars in the A main Final for 19T Spec. No other car company had more than one car represented. Joining TJ Bradley in the A main were fellow Corally drivers Juan Aveytia, Brad Johnson, Jeff Brown and Charlie Albrecht. The time came for the Triple A mains and Corally was looking to move up. TJ was able to pull off the first A main win to set himself up for the overall win. The second A main started and the TQ holder had a much cleaner start and TJ finishing 2nd. In the end TJ finished 2nd overall and joining him on the podium in 3rd was Juan Aveytia. The final 3 RDX Phi cars finished 5th, 6th and 7th respectively.
