Las Vegas!! How can you go wrong with a race held in Sin City! CorallyUSA headed to Vegas for an exciting weekend of Rubber and Foam Tire Touring Car racing and 12th scale. Scotty Ernst of Trackside Hobbies put this huge event together in the last year and certainly pulled it off to the typical Scotty Professional level. The success we had earlier in the year carried right over to the Carpet Season opener here as RDX drivers were obvious and fast in their respected classes. Tosolini was strapped up and on point as usual along with a slew of Stock drivers such as Cuffs, Denton, Bradley, Young, Ertrachter and more.

Touring Stock Foam Top 3

Qualifying was a battle as usual as the depth of drivers was deep for all classes. Corally drivers snagged 5 spots in the Stock Foam A-main which lined us up nicely for the A-main Final. Jeff Cuffs continued his winning ways from Snowbirds by taking the lead on the second lap when the door swung open a bit through the infield. Jeff never looked back as he led the remainder of the A-main and taking his 3rd Victory of 2005!! Joining him on the podium was none other than TJ Bradley in a very excellent 3rd place finish. Joining these two drivers in the A-main as well were, Dan Hartman, Rick Monahan and Mo Denton.

Touring Stock Rubber Top 3

Jason Ertrachter and Aaron Young battled back and forth for the TQ spot in the Stock Rubber class as both of their RDX cars were dialed in and ripping up the rug. Jason took the overall TQ fast time as Aaron settled into the 3rd spot for the A-main. Jason wasted no time jumping to the lead from his prime TQ starting spot and never faulted. Aaron was able to move up to the 2nd spot and hold on as the top 2 drivers put a bit of a cushion between them and the rest of the field. Along with the top two spots we had two other RDX drivers position themselves in the A-main. Mike Nelson and Tony Fiorella both laid it down to secure spots in the A-main Final. Corally drivers were able to podium in 5 of 7 classes they entered! Out of 50 possible A-main positions the RDX filled 36% of the spots. We would like to congratulate Jeff Cuffs and Jason Ertrachter on their victories along with all A-main drivers for their fine performances!
